We're hiring an experienced EDM Sinker – CNC Machinist III for a full-time opportunity to support mission-critical work involving precision-machined components. \n This role focuses on operating and setting up EDM sinkers, mills, lathes, and wire EDM machines in a clean, well-maintained manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in meeting high-tolerance, high-impact production goals. \n \n The Work You’ll Be Doing \n \n Set up and operate EDM sinkers , CNC mills, lathes, and wire EDMs \n Read and evaluate blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings \n Propose new setups and adjust tooling, offsets, and feeds/speeds \n Troubleshoot CNC programs and machining issues \n Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, indicators, and calipers \n Collaborate with Engineering on fixture design and process improvements \n Maintain production records and follow GMP/GDP documentation standards \n Support 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives \n Adhere to strict safety, quality, and preventative maintenance practices \n \n \n Machines, Materials & Tools \n \n Machine Types : EDM sinkers, CNC mills, CNC lathes, wire EDMs \n Tools : Micrometers, calipers, indicators, hand deburring tools \n Controls : G-code familiarity and minor programming required \n \n \n What We’re Looking For \n Required: \n \n 5 years of CNC machining experience (EDM preferred) \n High School Diploma or GED \n Strong setup skills across multiple machine platforms \n Ability to troubleshoot and make minor program edits \n Solid math, measurement, and blueprint reading skills \n U.S. Person status for ITAR compliance \n \n Preferred: \n \n Associate’s degree or Machinist apprenticeship \n Familiarity with medical/aerospace standards \n Background in multi-axis machining and advanced materials \n \n \n Why Work with Tecomet \n \n Full time Opportunity at a highly respected precision manufacturing company \n Work with advanced machining technology in a climate-controlled environment \n Competitive hourly rate: $30–$35/hour \n Make an immediate impact supporting critical industries \n \n \n Apply Now \n If you're a skilled EDM or CNC Machinist looking for a high-impact contract role in a professional shop environment, Tecomet is hiring now. \n Apply today or message us to learn more.
