Director of Church Evangelism Institute Coaching - Vision The
Church Evangelism Institute has the vision of increasing in the
U.S. and beyond the number and percentage of churches that are
mobilizing all their people into effective witness, engaging the
needs of their communities, and growing primarily through adding
new believers. We call such churches conversion communities.
Responsibilities The Director of the Church Evangelism Institute
(CEI) will lead the expansion of CEI's impact through pastors,
coaches, and networks, strengthening CEI outcomes in churches.
Toward this goal, the Director will recruit and oversee staff and
their development, strengthen the strategic planning process, build
the organizational infrastructure for longer term sustainability
and impact, oversee expansion initiatives, and collaborate with the
Executive Director on curriculum and resources. This person reports
to the Executive Director for the Church Evangelism Institute and
works in the Wheaton College Billy Graham Center. This position is
full-time with benefits and is funded by foundation grants and
cohort fees. Duties The duties of the Director of CEI involve
leading, managing and ensuring effectiveness in the following
areas: Recruit and Lead Staff:
- Ensure staff positions are filled through recruitment over time
as funding grows
- Coach Director and Catalyst Coaches who recruit and lead pastor
cohorts
- Network Recruitment Director and Network Leaders who recruit
pastor cohorts through denominational and affinity-based
organizations
- -Ops Specialist who works with CEI logistics and software
systems
- Provide regular supervision and development of senior
staff
- Oversee and participate in the Senior Leadership Team meetings
Build Organizational Infrastructure:
- Lead and oversee the strategic planning process
- Conceptualize and develop the organizational structures of
CEI
- Put in place processes and protocols for planning, decision
making, communication, and implementation of CEI programs
- Bring the various CEI leadership groups into alignment with one
another
- Oversee planning and implementation for expansion in areas of
coach recruitment and development and network leader recruitment
and development
- Oversee CEI operations, budgeting, and reporting processes
Develop Expansion Initiatives:
- Partner with Network Recruitment Director when appointed and
Network Leaders to deepen and broaden network partnerships for
starting and multiplying cohorts
- Partner with Coach Director when appointed and Catalyst Coaches
to recruit and develop new coaches
- Oversee partnerships related to expansion into Latino networks
and African Networks
- Explore other potential expansion opportunities Partner with
the Executive Director:
- Gather input from leaders and coaches to improve the
curriculum
- Inform and influence the development of resources for CEI
- Evaluate cohort and church outcomes and make recommendations
for improvement
- Partner with the Executive Director in making sure necessary
CEI roles are covered until the full leadership team is
appointed
- Collaborate with the Executive Director in fund raising efforts
for expansion Lead a Cohort:
- Lead at least one cohort as a lead coach regularly
- Utilize the approved curriculum as the guiding framework for
all cohorts
- Model personal relational evangelism and evangelism leadership
in personal spheres of influence This job description is intended

Qualifications:
- Proven leadership gifts and experience
- Senior or Executive Pastor experience preferred
- Strong strategic planning skills
- Knowledgeable, competent, and experienced in developing
others
- Strong relational skills and track record in recruiting,
hiring, building, leading, and working well with a diverse
team
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior pastors and
collaborate with gifted part-time high-capacity leaders
- Experience and success in senior leadership within
entrepreneurial environments
- Strong communication skills, administrative skills, and follow
through
- Comfortable and effective in online environments
- Demonstrated commitment to personal evangelism and influencing
others in evangelism Physical Requirements - - The employee is
regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to
use repetitive hand motion, handle, or feel, and to stand, walk,
