for the US CEO and Sales Director - Automation opportunity is with
a global manufacturer and leader of industrial automation safety
solutions. This company specializes in products to keep people and
machines safe serving customers in a wide range of markets
including Automotive, Packaging, Pharma, Food and Beverage,
Logistics and more.The US CEO and Sales Director - Automation
opportunity is a highly visible role reporting to the Group CEO.
This person will be in the charge of the US entity overseeing
sales, technical support, warehouse and logistics and finance. This
person will also serve as the US Sales Leader leading a team of
Sales professionals in the US and work with the global sales
counterparts.Job Description
- Along with the Group CEO develop and executive on the overall
strategy for the US region
- Manage the overall US legal entity driving customer and revenue
growth as well as people development and expansion hiring and
growing the sales and commercial team
- Manage current existing customer relationships in order to grow
and expand accounts from the corporate level
- Work cross functionally with other business unit sales teams
and leaders to upsell and cross sell to existing customers
- Foster the relationships with key customer decision makers and
network with related groups to foster complete alignment and
agreement in the overall strategy and advocate for both sides to
gain agreement that the direction is mutually beneficial to both
companies.
- Work with customers and internal cross functional teams of
product development and specifications that meet customers
needs
- Work and challenge the sales team and internal organization to
think outside of the box to ensure efficiencies and strategies are
in line with company goals
- Travel with sales team to provide mentoring, training,
development, and support to win business and help sales team
overcome challenges
- Work closely with the Group CEO and CFO on strategy, reporting,
and overall business performance.
- Travel to Europe 2-3 times a year to global headquarters
- Travel within the US region to customers as needed.The
Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering (preferred)
- 5-10 years of sales experience within automation selling to
automotive, food, packaging, logistics, or similar markets.
- At least 3 years sales management experience leading a sales
team
- Proven sales track record selling technical products and
systems - automation, machinery, complex systems
- Highly motivated with a strong sense of work ethic and drive to
succeed
- Experience developing and implementing a sales strategy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
- Strong ability to multi-task and highly organized
- Strong technical knowledge regarding automation, software,
hardware, electronics
- In depth knowledge of manufacturing processes within
automation
- Prior experience working for an international company highly
preferred
- Prior P&L experience would be a plusWhat's on OfferBase
