responsible for leading, managing, training, and developing the
Sanitation, Pest Control and Waste Management programs/systems for
the facility with a continuous improvement focus. He/she will
provide direction and coordinate all responsiblities for the
Sanitation department which includes Safety, Food Safety, Training,
Engagement, Performance, Recycling/Chemical/Waste Usage Management,
Budget, Cost Management and supports plant inititiaves and
programs. The position reports in to Quality but also will manage a
set of matrix relationships within facility to Production and
Supply Chain, and other senior management. Reporting in to this
postion Sanitation Leaders, as well as a sanitation team of approx
36 skilled hourly associates, across three shifts, to provide
sanitation services within a food manufacturing facility to include
equipment, building and grounds. This position must be able to work
weekends, holidays and be able to flex time on all three
shifts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvides technical
expertise and leadership in Sanitation, SSOP's, Sanitary Design,
Pest Control, CIP and COP systems, Chemical Usage, Sanitation
Technology, Waste Management, Recycling, Confined Space, Allergen
Cleaning & Testing, Training, FSMA Regulations, Preventive Controls
and Risk Assessment.Enforce guidelines for Sanitation associates
for sanitation/food safety programs ensuring compliance with all
company and regulatory product food safety standards, quality
standards, sanitation standards, employee safety and environmental
standards. Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices, Allergen
Control, Environmental Monitoring, and Kosher requirements are
followed. As well as making sure all Sanitation associates follow
company's safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment
where required, meeting all safety objectives set up for the
department. Facilitates and/or directs resolution to issues as it
relates to food safety and quality.Develops and implements SSOP's
drives continuous improvement initiatives while keeping abreast on
new technology, methods and regulations relating to food plant
sanitation methods, chemicals, and technology. Provides coaching,
training, and troubleshooting for Sanitation associates.Oversees
the scheduling of associates performing sanitation tasks associated
with production demands and Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
Develops and implement master sanitation schedule and monitors
performance of the established tasks against the schedule with a
focus on continuous improvement of percent completion. Sanitation
team is scheduled to cover a 24-hour operation and all three shifts
must be staffed and be provided oversight and guidance.Prepares and
manages annual Sanitation budget, including direct and indirect
labor. Manages orders for necessary supplies, equipment and
chemicals for the entire plant via the SAP platform, with a focus
on cost control.Coordinate and oversee all outside vendors as they
relate to the Sanitation Department; Pest Control Technicians,
Chemical Vendors, Production supplies, Waste Management, and other
third-party contractors.Key member of teams to ensure successful
SQF, Kosher, State, Federal, and Internal audits. Member of the
plant HACCP team and trained on understanding and meeting needs for
Preventive Controls. Full understanding and implementation of
Monitoring, Verification and Validation standards as well as
Corrective Actions within the Food Safety Plan for the Downers
Grove plant, primarily focused on sanitation activities and
Allergen Control.Assumes responsibility for the Quality System
requirements. In the absence of the Sanitation Manager or any
position within the staff, the appropriate responsibilities will be
completed by utilizing the organizational chart to cover critical
food safety responsibilities.The above reflects the typical duties
of the job. Other duties may be assigned as needed.EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree from four-year college or university is
preferred. Minimum of three years direct supervisory experience;
preferred five years of direct supervisory experience in a
manufacturing environment. Minimum of three years of sanitation or
related experience; preferred five years of sanitation experience
in a food manufacturing environment. Preferred HACCP
certification.JOB SPECIFICATIONSComputer proficiency is preferred
in the following: Windows-based software applications (Word, Excel,
SharePoint, PowerPoint), SAP and ability to master other
software.Practical knowledge and application of food safety
principles (ex. Regulatory, PCQI, HACCP, SQF, GMPs, food
microbiology).Demonstrates strong technical acumen including the
ability to troubleshoot a problem, involve other stakeholders as
necessary, and brainstorm potential root causes. Exhibits strong
abilities for organization, time management, and deductive
thinking.Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and leadership
abilities including strong verbal and written communication skills,
effective presentations skills, the ability to communicate at any
organization level, and the ability to work effectively, lead by
example and coach others within a team-based high performing
organization while promoting engagement, inclusion, and
diversity.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position is working in a
manufacturing environment 75% of the time and is exposed to
machinery, heat, changes in elevation, wet floors, cleaning
chemicals, interfacing with powered industrial equipment, and high
noise levels on a routine basis.TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY,

Benefits:The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried
position is between$72,900-$117,300Individual base pay depends on
work location and additional factors such as experience,
job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay
may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer
competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on
