Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician to join our team,
providing specialized inpatient care for individuals with
neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. This position involves
working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team within a
prominent nonprofit healthcare organization. Responsibilities
include conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring
continuity of patient care, and utilizing advanced clinical

Responsibilities Work in a specialized inpatient rehabilitation
unit focused solely on inpatient care and consultations. Join a
Level I, 397-bed hospital located in Chicago. The unit features 22
beds, with an average daily patient census of 12-13; plans are in
place to move to a newly renovated space designed for enhanced
collaboration between nursing and therapy teams. Collaborate with a
diverse team, including an admissions coordinator, skilled social
workers, case managers, registered nurses, rehabilitation
technicians, and various therapy professionals. Practice the full
spectrum of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R),
closely working with specialists and therapists. Perform a range of
procedures, including botulinum toxin injections, joint and trigger
point injections, among other interventions. Serve a diverse
patient population, with a balanced mix of neurodiagnostic
cases—such as brain injuries, strokes, and non-traumatic spinal
cord injuries—and other conditions like trauma, fractures, lower
extremity amputations, and general debility. Participate in call
responsibilities, covering one weekend per month when fully
staffed; non-assigned weekends will be managed by hospitalists,
promoting both patient continuity and physician work-life balance.
No current outpatient responsibilities, although there are
opportunities to engage in an outpatient prosthetic clinic. Utilize
EPIC EMR for efficient patient management. Be part of a nationally
recognized integrated organization with a physician-led medical
group and embedded service lines. Access DAX Copilot, an AI-driven
clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, to streamline
workflows by generating draft patient notes for review and
signature. Experience a commitment to providing safe and equitable
care for all patients. Required Qualifications Completion of an
accredited PM&R residency program. Fellowship training is
welcomed but not mandatory. Preferred experience, though all
