Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Interventional
Radiology Tech to join our faith-based healthcare organization. As
part of our team, you will play a crucial role in utilizing
advanced imaging technologies to assist in minimally invasive
surgical procedures. This position requires a commitment to
delivering personalized care in a supportive and innovative
environment, enhancing patient outcomes and advancing your
expertise in interventional radiology. Assisting physicians in
performing interventional procedures using radiologic imaging for
guidance, including angioplasty, stenting, and thrombolysis.
Preparation and maintenance of sterile fields during radiologic
procedures. Administering contrast agents as directed by protocols
and physician instructions. Monitoring patient vital signs and
conditions during procedures. Ensuring compliance with safety
protocols to reduce exposure to radiation. Maintaining detailed
records of procedures, including technical settings and patient
responses. Participating in continuing education to keep abreast of
technological advancements in the field. Proficiency in the use of
interventional radiologic equipment and technology. Strong
understanding of radiologic safety and protection principles.
Ability to troubleshoot and maintain interventional radiology
equipment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for
interacting with patients and healthcare staff. Critical thinking
and problem-solving skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification by the American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Licensed Radiologic
Technologist in the state of practice. Additional certification in
vascular interventional radiography preferred.
