Job Description:
Franciscan Ministries, in alignment with its values rooted in
the tradition of the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago, is seeking a
dedicated Infection Preventionist/Education Coordinator to enhance
our community healthcare services. This role is pivotal in managing
infection prevention measures and coordinating educational programs
for staff to ensure high standards of care and compliance with
healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate
professional with a strong commitment to healthcare excellence,
consistent with our mission to respect and better the lives of all
individuals under our care. Develop, implement, and maintain
infection prevention policies and procedures in accordance with
state and federal regulations. Conduct regular training sessions
for all healthcare staff on the latest infection control practices.
Perform surveillance and tracking of infection data to report
trends and potential outbreaks. Organize educational workshops and
training programs, adapting content to meet the diverse learning
needs of staff. Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess
educational needs and develop corresponding initiatives. Regularly
review and update educational materials based on the latest health
standards and research. Serve as a liaison between administration,
staff, and external agencies for all matters related to infection
prevention. Expert knowledge of infection control practices and
procedures Strong teaching and mentoring capabilities Ability to
design and implement effective training programs Excellent
communication and organizational skills Proficiency in data
analysis and reporting Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified in Infection Control (CIC)
required Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred
