Summary Working knowledge of data network support, proficient with
a variety of technology devices and applications. Well organized,
customer service oriented & strong problem solving skills required.
Professional in demeanor, excellent verbal and written
communication skills, and ability to relate well with employees,
staff, and students in all situations. Must be able to lift
equipment weighing up to 50lbs as needed. May perform other duties
as assigned by supervisor(s) Qualifications High school diploma or
equivalent (college degree preferred). Should be industrious with
strong problem solving skills. Strong organization skills and the
ability to work both independently, with students, staff or other
technicians as needed. Must have strong written and oral
communication skills and the ability to interact constructively
with others. Must provide quality technical support assistance and
maintain professional and courteous customer service. REPORTS TO:
Director of Technology Services Essential Duties and
Responsibilities (Not all inclusive) Must assist with supporting a
variety of technology equipment as needed/reported. Must have
excellent communication/interpersonal skills with staff and
students. Must document new support requests and provide details on
completed activities. Must be able to perform basic diagnostics and
troubleshoot steps on a variety of technology related devices
identifying issues requiring advanced support assistance. Must
obtain a basic working knowledge of online systems such as
PowerSchool, FirstClass, Skyward and/or other identified services
or local system operations. Must be able to demonstrate system
support proficiencies with assisting all users. May assist with
maintaining equipment such as projectors, TVs, or "AV" hardware.
May assist with the operation of a Technology Support Help Desk or
Support Hotline. May assist with the inventory and assignment
district assets. May assist with routine maintenance or updating
software as needed on devices. May assist with the completion or
creation of support requests as needed. May assist with maintaining
an inventory of various school properties and assets. May assist
with and/or troubleshoot requests related to issues with the phone
system. May assist with student/staff account password resets and
credentials support. May assist with the documentation of network
resources and connected devices. May assist with the installation
of networking components or security devices. May assist with
training other support staff members with technology related
issues. May be required to prepare new or existing devices for use
by staff or students. May be responsible or assist with supervising
seasonal or part-time workers. May assist with the installation or
maintenance of in ceiling/wall data cables. Must be able to climb
ladders and work on ceiling or wall mounted devices. Knowledge and

environment is usually moderate. The pace of work tasks would be
considered as fast. Work is usually conducted at one job site,
however, on occasion, this employee will be required to attend
meetings, conferences, or workshops and events at other sites as
