Job Description Job Description MGS has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Lead to join our MGS Germantown team. The Warehouse Lead assists the Distribution Center Manager in coordinating the daily operations, inventory, receiving, shipping, and packing. The Warehouse Lead supports the training of warehouse employees and ensures the team is meeting the goals of the warehouse. Below are additional responsibilities of the Warehouse Lead : Know and follow all of the Company's safety rules, such as safe work practices and standard operating procedures. Serve as a good role model to employees for safe work practices and behavior by conducting yourself professionally, keeping in mind your own safety and the safety of others. Learn and master all necessary areas of the quality system. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Facilitate and support all Warehouse operations. Coordination with Shipping and Receiving Departments regarding inbound purchases for Manufacturing and outbound shipments to customers. Able to perform all warehouse duties in the absence of other employees. Responsible for good housekeeping in the warehouse, dock, and production areas. Ensure receivables and finished goods are accurately put away into storage racks daily and materials are pulled for shipments following FIFO or required job numbers as requested. Assist in regular inventory cycle counts and physical inventory for the Warehouse. Observe and adhere to all company policies and procedures. Any other duties as assigned. A qualified Warehouse Lead candidate would fulfill these requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience within a warehouse setting to accomplish essential duties, or accrued on-the-job training is preferred. 2-3 years of experience in the warehouse and shipping/receiving environment. At least 1 year of experience in a Lead position. Prior knowledge of ERP systems is preferred. Able to work independently. Forklift certified is preferred.
