Job Description:
Summary Reporting to the area Team Leader, the Manufacturing
Technician is responsible for operating and performing basic
maintenance on light-to-heavy industrial equipment in support of
manufacturing operations. Equipment may include, but is not limited
to saws, bending, tumbling, punch-press, material handling,
polishing equipment, lasers, welding apparatuses or material
degreasing. This role supports safe, efficient, and high-quality
production in accordance with company standards. Essential Duties
and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is
not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and
responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to
time. Independently operate assigned manufacturing equipment,
including benders, threading machines, parts degreasers, saws,
light-tonnage presses, polishing equipment, welding apparatuses,
and perform assembly work as required. Perform work in compliance
with the Company Quality Policy by following written work
instructions and inspecting parts as required. Support company
standards related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost by
participating in root cause problem-solving activities and
maintaining housekeeping and organizational standards within the
assigned work area. Accurately record labor transactions in the ERP
system, including time, materials used, and quantities of completed
and scrapped units. Perform routine operator maintenance on
applicable equipment as instructed by the area Supervisor. Assist
team leaders and peers as directed, including training other
assemblers on assigned products or processes. Other duties as
assigned. Requirements Qualifications To perform this job

Experience Level of education usually acquired through completion
of high school. Required to read, write, and speak English, follow
verbal instructions and use simple math. Job Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities Ability to accurately scan labor, verify labor, and
provide for corrections. Ability to, when applicable, operate
overhead crane, aerial lift, forklift, hand trucks, and assigned
machines. Ability to measure (using ruler, tapes, height gauge,
micrometer) and count accurately. Ability to identify material
sizes, lengths, dimensions, metal type, etc. Ability to read and
write English, follow verbal and written instructions and perform
basic math; including adding, subtracting and multiplying
fractions. Ability to work independently and prioritize work with
minimal supervision. Physical Demands The physical demands
described here are representative of those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this
job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee is
regularly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or
operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to bend, stoop, climb
ladders, balance and move about the facility. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distant
vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The
employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
