qualified candidate will perform duties and responsibilities
necessary to support the area to which they are assigned.
Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Should be neat,
thorough, industrious, and have knowledge of secretarial and school
procedures. Must be proficient in typing (45 wpm) and experienced
in general computer programs such as Word and Excel. Must have the
ability to operate office equipment, do basic data entry, and
maintain records and scheduling. Should have good written and oral
communication skills and the ability to interact constructively
with others. Must demonstrate strong organization skills, have
graphic and artistic ability, and a general understanding of legal
issues in education. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not all
inclusive) Knowledge of District accounting and student management
software programs. Able to compose routine business letters.
Knowledge of fundamental bookkeeping practices, which may include
handling cash for various school activities. Ability to prioritize
assignments and manage time efficiently so that projects are
completed within deadlines. Use all office equipment routinely.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to generate abstract data
and assemble reports. Coordinate staffing assignments. Manage
transportation for and scheduling athletic games. Conduct
inventories, complete purchase orders and other record keeping
activities. Assist in preparing the budget. May arrange for
substitute teachers. May perform other duties as assigned by
supervisor. Knowledge and Skills Ability to read, analyze and
interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys and electronic
media. Ability to write professional communications Ability to
communicate clearly and concisely Ability to complete and apply
basic mathematics concepts Ability to respond to questions from
individuals and groups Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Familiarity with testing administration (for instructional
positions) Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical
demands described here represent those that must be met by an
employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this

close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. In addition, the
ability to withstand long-term use of video display terminals (VDT)
is required. The employee may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
such as reference books. The noise level in the work environment is
usually moderate. The pace of work tasks would be considered as
fast. Work is usually conducted at one job site, however, on
occasion, this employee will be required to attend meetings,
conferences, or workshops and events at other sites as assigned.
